Take in any of our special rides, whether for six hours or eight, or take in the beauty of the Yaha Tinda from the back of a horse. You will ride through terrain surrounding the Panther River in Alberta's west country. Visit the quiet, serene beauty near Banff National Park and the breathtaking scenery of the Alberta Rockies. All guests will be mounted on gentle, well broke horses, suitable for all ages and ability. Rides are led by friendly, knowledgeable guides.

FULL DAY TRAIL RIDES
Full Day Trail Riders depart from the Panther River Retreat at 10:00 a.m. and explore the exquisite scenic foothill trails between the Burnt Timber Creek and the Red Deer River. Enjoy a box lunch or weiner roast along the trail to hold you over on your six hour journey. This trip can be tailored to your individual wants and skill level, anything from scenic views to moving cattle. Definitely a holiday on horseback to remember!

The views of the Rocky Mountains are just spectacular. Don't leave your camera at home!

8 HOUR DORMER FISHING TRIP
Depart from our Panther River Retreat at about 9 a.m. Ride to Dormer Lake for lunch and two hours of fishing. Return via the Corners Cabin to arrive back at camp by approximately 5 p.m.

YAHA TINDA RIDE
Alberta's Hidden Falls are exactly that; waterfalls cutting through the rock totally hidden and seen best on a horseback trip with Sunset Guiding and Outfitting.Ride the Yaha Tinda Ranch with your own personal guide. Leave the Panther River Retreat at approximately 9 a.m. for the short trailer ride to your starting point at the Eagle Creek Campground at the outskirts of the Yaha Tinda Ranch. Ride for five hours with a one hour lunch break of sandwiches or a weiner roast.

Some of the sights that you could see will include Scalp Creek, the Hidden Falls (pictured), the natural waterslides, Eagle Lake, Bighorn Falls, the sheep cliffs, and many more. Each ride is tailored to the individual's skill level.
